Warrington Wolves legend Adrian Morley becomes ambassador for Warrington Youth Club

WARRINGTON Wolves legend Adrian Morley has become an ambassador of the Warrington Youth Club.

The 40-year-old former prop, who captained the Wire to three Challenge Cup wins and a League Leaders’ Shield during his seven seasons with the club, has become the youth club’s first brand ambassador.

In his role, the ex-Great Britain and England international will work to promote activities and programmes offered by the WYC in addition to support its fundraising team.

Morley joins as a volunteer ahead of the WYC’s planned £6m Warrington Youth Zone being built in the Stadium Quarter, next to the University Technical College

He said: “I’m pleased to be spending time in Warrington again and fully support the ethos of inspiring young people that Onside Warrington Youth Club represents.

“The new purpose-build youth zone will enable local young people to have fun and develop and give access to excellent facilities, including exercise equipment and sporting activities.”

Mark Brocklehurst, chairman of Warrington Youth Club, added: “We are delighted that Adrian has agreed to be our first brand ambassador.

“He’s well remembered in the town from his time on the rugby pitch, both in Warrington and on the international stage, and we believe Adrian will be a great asset to our team in this key role as we head towards the building of the new Warrington Youth Zone.”
